La Organización Mundial del Turismo (OMT) ha abierto la inscripción para el Curso Universitario Turismo y Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, edición 2010 en idioma español, organizado por la Fundación UNWTO.Themis con la colaboración de la Universitat de València y la Universitat d'Andorra.. La formación on-line se realizará del 19 de abril al 25 de junio de 2010 y la formación presencial del 10 al 24 de julio de 2010 en España y Andorra. Los titulados de este curso tendrán la oportunidad de participar como voluntarios OMT en programas de Cooperación Internacional para el desarrollo. Este curso busca formar a jóvenes en Cooperación Internacional a través del turismo - instrumento indiscutible de desarrollo. Tiene una duración de 150 horas on-line y 100 horas presenciales en España y Andorra. La parte on-line consiste fundamentalmente de conceptos y debates teóricos necesarios para el entendimiento de la complejidad de la cooperación internacional para el desarrollo, a nivel general y de la OMT. Mientras que la parte presencial, tiene programadas conferencias, charlas y prácticas específicas sobre cuestiones relevantes para la cooperación al desarrollo, y exige que el participante desarrolle determinados instrumentos o metodologías utilizadas en el programa UNWTO.Volunteers. La superación satisfactoria del curso es requisito necesario para optar a la selección de participantes en el Programa UNWTO.Volunteers que durante 2010 / 2011 se realizará en América, África y Asia, en países tales como Nicaragua, Ghana, Bután. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has opened the inscription period for the 2010 Spanish edition of the Tourism and International Cooperation for Development University Course, organized by the UNWTO.Themis Foundation in collaboration with the Universitat de València and the Universitat d'Andorra.. The on-line training will be from 19 April to 25 June 2010 and the on-site training from 10 to 24 July 2010 in Spain and Andorra. Graduates from this course will have the opportunity to participate as UNWTO volunteers in programs of International Cooperation for Development. This course aims to train young people in international cooperation through tourism – an unquestionable development tool. It has a duration of 150 hours on-line and 100 hours on-site in Spain and Andorra. The online section consists essentially of concepts and theoretical debates necessary for the understanding of the complexity of international development cooperation, in general and at UNWTO. For the on-site part, the schedule includes briefings and specific practices on issues relevant for development cooperation, and requires the participant to develop particular tools or methodologies used in the UNWTO.Volunteers programme. The successful completion of the course is a prerequisite for qualifying for the selection of participants for the UNWTO.Volunteers programme.
